St Cyprian High School, Kyabakadde Basketball teams officially flagged off for 2026 USSSA Ball Games 1

St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde officially flagged off 28 players of Basketball for boys and girls prior to the national USSSA Ball games 1 at Seroma Christian High School, Mukono.

Head teacher Joseph Kamya officially handed over the school flag to the team captains; Vivian Nakyanzi and Ichut Agok Ring.

Kamya urged the players to work hard and be disciplined, two pillars that will propel them to success.

“Be disciplined. This is not a war. Work hard so that you excel. I wish you all the best” head teacher Kamya revealed.

Head coach John Omondi spoke about the teams’ preparations and the aspirations with the prime target of qualifying to the East Africa championships due in Morogoro City, Tanzania this August.

“We have been working hard. Both teams (boys and girls) are well prepared as we head to the national games” Omondi stated.

Last year, St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde boys’ team reached the finals, and lost narrowly to Amus College.

The 2026 USSSA Ball Games will be hosted by Seroma Christian School in Mukono, featuring Basketball, Netball (U-16), Handball (U-16), Rugby (15’s), Hockey, Girls Football, Badminton and Table Tennis.
