Ugandan sports journalist Andrew Kabuura is walking shoulders high after stepping into the Super-Sport studios.
Kabuura from Itojo in Ntugamo district is the first Ugandan journalist to analyze the UEFA Champions League match live from SuperSport during the clash between Paris Saint‑Germain and FC Bayern Munich.
His appearance on the continental sports network marks a proud moment for Ugandan sports journalism, placing local media talent on one of the biggest football analysis platforms in Africa.
Kabuura began his media walk while at university and started writing small articles in Newspapers.
Andrew Kabuura’s life inspires many and from a village boy in Ntungamo to a top commentator.
With over 15 years of experience, Kabuura currently serves as Head of Sports Broadcast at NBS Television and has worked with major networks including SuperSport and Kwese Sports, covering global tournaments including Fifa World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations.
Uganda should be proud of having Andrew Kabuura as one of the best sports journalist in the world with high integrity & class.
Kabuura has faced tougher times during his career journey and as the youngest in the family of four children, he faced tougher times .
His father passed away in 1994 when Kabuura was about eight years old and
this loss changed his life after his mother & uncle stepping in to raise him & provided support during the hard moments after his father’s death.
His uncle moved him to Kampala also Uganda’s capital republic to start life from school education to buying him underwears.
He studied from Vienna College for O-level to Makerere College School for A-level, and Makerere University Business School for his degree.
He is a father of three children including twins and married to Flavia Tumusiime also Ugandan media personality and actress.
