Miss Tourism Uganda has secured a new partnership with EgyptAir in a move aimed at boosting tourism promotion and strengthening cultural links between Uganda and Egypt.

Announced on Tuesday, the collaboration is being hailed as a significant milestone for the beauty and tourism platform, with both parties committing to expand international exposure and deepen bilateral tourism cooperation.

Under the arrangement, EgyptAir will provide complimentary air tickets to winners of the Miss Tourism Uganda 2026 and 2027 editions, enabling them to actively participate in cross-border tourism campaigns.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the pageant’s Relationship Manager described the deal as a transformative step that will position Miss Tourism Uganda as a globally competitive tourism brand.

She noted that forging international alliances is key to amplifying Uganda’s visibility as a leading travel destination.

EgyptAir Country Manager Kamal Ahmed said the partnership is expected to stimulate travel between Kampala and Cairo, with the potential for increased flight frequencies as demand grows.

He added that beyond tourism, the initiative will create opportunities for youth empowerment through exposure, networking, and skills development.

The impact of the collaboration is already being felt. Reigning Miss Tourism Uganda Nachap and Man of Tourism Amuriat recently joined Uganda’s Embassy in Cairo for a tourism and trade expo, where they showcased Ugandan coffee and tea to Egyptian audiences, helping to build lasting connections with the business community.

The Miss Tourism Uganda 2026 grand finale is slated for September 4 at Kampala Serena Hotel. This year’s edition will run under the theme “AI, Tourism and Culture,” focusing on how technology can enhance cultural promotion and the tourism experience.

EgyptAir currently operates five weekly flights between Cairo and Entebbe using Airbus A320neo aircraft, providing a reliable link that supports both tourism and business travel between the two countries.
