Hundreds of mourners including family members & friends gathered to pay their last respect to the late Elizabeth Nambejjo was brutally murdered last week in Abim district.
Nambejjo’s body was found dumped in the bush after the ‘killer’ taking her life was a panga broad day.
The deceased’s body was recovered two days later after killer suspect leading police officers to the crime scene also land belonging to the a church ministry where she was working.
The killer suspect whose names are yet to be identified confessed to police on how he landed on the 50yrs old woman in a tree plantation and chopped her to pieces.
The deceased’s body was rushed from the crime scene in Abim district to Soroti government hospital in sorry state & later to a private medical facility for medical attention.
The killer suspect after killing her workmate at the same church ministry, he rushed & picked some money from the deceased’s bag & deposited it on his mobile phone.
The suspect sneaked inside the deceased’s house & picked shs140,000/= from her hand bag and deposited it on his phone, revealed police files.
The suspect put the deceased’s craft shoes on the door steps after stealing her money from inside the house before neighbor’s smiling a rat.
The suspect was spotted with blood stains on the shirt & gum boots, said neighbors who tipped police.
The deceased is a former student of Kako Secondary school where she studied her O’level (1989-1993) before joining Makerere High School (1994-1995) & later Makerere University (1996-2000).
Nambejjo previously worked at the Denk Pharmacy as an administrator (2024-2024) before joining the City of Light Church Karamoja as a logistics officer.
Nambejjo Betty ‘Adongo’ as she was fondly called is a daughter to the late Jonathan Nkerettanyi Mukasa & Christine Joy Nkerettanyi.
Hundreds of mourners gathered on Monday afternoon & paid their last respect to their lovely daughter at her ascentral burial grounds at Namagoma Nsangi,off Masaka road.
