The Entebbe Division B Chairperson Hon. Richard Ssekyondo through the Korea-Uganda Friendship Association has lobbied an assortment of textbooks to Entebbe Parents Secondary School.
It has been excitement at the school premises on Thursday, 26th June 2025 during the official hand-over of the textbooks to the senior four students.

Korea – Uganda Friendship Association president Herbert Kyewalyanga was joined by his vice Hon. Ssekyondo, publicist Isaac Kasozi, the coordinator David Mwesigwa and councilor Saldah Nannyombi.
The donated textbooks were for History and Political Education (learners’ book senior four) under the National Curriculum Development Center (NCDC).

“The Korea Uganda Friendship Association is excited to contribute to the education eco-system of Uganda. Partnering with local schools will help attain the best grades as we target to grow our economy to join the cluster of first world countries as Korea” Kyewalyanga remarked.
Kyewalyanga also hinted on the bursary scheme for students after they have completed their senior six class that enables bright students to attain higher education in Korea.

In his brief speech before the textbooks hand over, Hon. Ssekyondo who was flanked by councilor Saldah Nannyombi lauded the Korea-Uganda Association for the generous offer.
“I want in a special way thank the Korea-Uganda Friendship Association for this brick to the education system of Uganda especially of helping vulnerable students from impoverished and average families. This is not the first time that they are donating textbooks having also offered them to Entebbe Comprehensive, Promise and Entebbe SS. We are humbled for this gesture” Hon. Ssekyondo who is eyeing the Entebbe Mayor’s seat stated.

Hon. Ssekyondo urged the school management and the students to optimally utilize these donated books to the best possible means.
He urged the Korean Embassy to implement the Exchange program between Uganda and Korea with Korean Interns expected to boost the Information Technology Docket.

In due appreciation, the Deputy head teacher of Entebbe Parents Kizito Musa was full of praise for Korea – Uganda Friendship Association for the donation of textbooks to the school.
Kizito added these textbooks will supplement and add value to the students.
“We are humbled for the donation of textbooks to Entebbe Parents SS. These textbooks will benefit the students, many of who do not have the resources to buy such material needed for their education” Kizito hinted.

Hon. Ssekyondo has also lobbied for computers to be distributed among the different schools of Entebbe Municipality.
For starters, Entebbe Municipality has a number of Government aided and private primary & secondary schools in both Divisions A and B.
