SC Volcanoes has launched a massive fundraising drive targeting over one billion shillings(shs1bn) to run the club’s operations this coming season during the FUFA big league.
This was revealed by the SC Volcanoes club president, Dr Martin Mbonye at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel during the fundraising drive with friends,families & well wishers.
This is a wake-up call to all our friends & well wishers to join the fundraising drive to support the Kisoro based Sc Volcanoes during this timely moment & it’s future, said club president & chairman Mbonye.
The fundraising drive was kick- started by several high profiled personalities including the Uganda Investment Authority ED, Robert Mukiza & club patron (shs5m),Uganda Gaming & Lotteries Boss Dennis Ngabirano(shs5m),Moses Mushimye(shs2m),Ex Bukomansimbi Mp Kayemba Solo(shs1m),Businessman Collins Balinda(shs8m),Jeremiah Mugerwa(shs2m),Joel Kigozi(shs1m),Gorilla highland coffee(shs2m) plus others we are yet to identify.
The journey of success begins with a single drop & SC Volcanoes has passed all required standards, revealed Jeremiah Mugerwa also FUFA Licensing Committee chairperson.
SC Volcanoes is about to erupt in Kisoro & on the Ugandan football scene, he added.
SC Volcanoes has recently recruited several highly experienced technical staff including the CEO Edison SabaSaba, senior coach, Sadiq Sempigi, former Uganda Cranes football player, Emmanuel Okwi & Godfrey Walusimbi aka Jaja Walu on board.
Football unites us more & SC Volcanoes should be a scouting platform of talent from the Kisoro region, said Hon Kayemba Solo also international football agent.
Football has not been taken seriously & seen as a game of hooliganism, said Hon Kayemba Solo.
