Spain delivered a commanding performance as they swept aside Saudi Arabia 4-0 in a one-sided World Cup group stage encounter, with their young attacking stars once again taking center stage.
Lamine Yamal opened the scoring early, setting the tone with a composed finish that reflected Spain’s early dominance and high-tempo pressing.
The teenager continued to show why he is regarded as one of the brightest talents in world football, constantly stretching the Saudi defence with his pace and movement.

Mikel Oyarzabal was the standout performer of the match, directly involved in three of Spain’s goals.
He scored twice with clinical precision and also provided an assist, orchestrating much of Spain’s attacking flow in the final third.
His intelligent positioning and link-up play proved too much for Saudi Arabia to contain.
Saudi Arabia’s night went from difficult to disastrous when Hassan Altambati turned the ball into his own net, compounding their defensive struggles under sustained Spanish pressure.
From start to finish, Spain controlled possession, dictated tempo, and created chances almost at will. Saudi Arabia struggled to cope with the intensity and quality of Spain’s attacking combinations, rarely threatening in return.
The result reinforces Spain’s status as serious contenders in the tournament, while Saudi Arabia are left with work to do as they look to recover in their remaining group fixtures.
