How lucky some persons are in life! Rogers Kizza from Entebbe claimed the fifth electric car in the LingLong Raffle draw executed at Mandela Group’s head offices along Sixth Street – Industrial Area in Kampala on Wednesday, 16th September 2026.
Tina Wang, Linglong Sales Executive Manager for the Middle East and North Africa was chief guest during an event also graced by Kevin Li, Tim Yin, Herbert Bashasha, Evelyn Tabitha (head of track department), Mahad Twaha, Fred Kaweesi (New Vision Sports Editor), City Tyres branch managers, the media, among others.
Kizza procured the Linglong tyres from the City Tyres Bombo Road branch, was selected after the first draw failed to produce a successful winner.
The first draw landed on Ssemakula, who had purchased tyres from the Namirembe Road branch. However, after attempts to reach him by telephone went unanswered, the opportunity was passed on and another draw was conducted.
Rogers will officially receive the keys to his electric vehicle on Thursday morning at the same Mandela Group premises in Industrial Area.
Wang praised Mandela Group for its partnership with Linglong and thanked Ugandan customers for supporting the tyre brand.
“We have the best partner in Africa, Mandela Group, and I thank the customers for supporting us. We at Linglong shall continue improving the quality of our products,” Wang said.
The Linglong Tyres EV Promotion gives customers who purchase Linglong tyres through City Tyres an opportunity to participate in raffle draws for electric vehicles, alongside other prizes.
The promotion has previously produced several electric-car winners. Among the early winners are; John Bosco Mugisha, the first winner, Godfrey Kyeyune, who was announced as another winner in January 2025, and Florence Nandede of Mbale, who was also among the beneficiaries of the electric-car campaign.

Meanwhile, Wang also launched the inaugural Mandela Group Linglong Dealers’ Football Tournament, aimed at bringing together external Linglong tyre dealers through sport.
The tournament was launched at the Mandela Sports Arena and is intended to become an annual event.
The inaugural edition attracted nine teams, with participating dealers battling for trophies, medals and other prizes.
