Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu “Bobi Wine” drew massive crowds in Nakaseke during his latest campaign trail leading to the 2026 elections.
Hundreds of thousands of fans gathered in Nakaseke as the National Unity Platform (NUP) campaigned on the day Uganda celebrated her 63rd Independence Day.
He was campaigned by several NUP leaders, Members of Parliament as Hon. Allan Ssebunya Mayanja
“We chose to have our rally in Nakaseke on Independence Day in order to pay respects to those who perished fighting for the dream of a truly independent Uganda. Nakaseke is home to thousands or ten thousands of skulls of Ugandans who perished during the war that brought Museveni to power. 40 years later, Nakaseke is one of the poorest districts in Uganda – pathetic roads, dilapidated schools, very few and poor schools, etc. Land grabbing is so prevalent. Many places have no electricity and running water. We came to awaken our people here to resist the criminal regime and play their part in this cause. I am glad they came in very large numbers” Kyangulanyi spoke.
Kyagulanyi will continue with the campaign trail on Friday, 10th October 2025 in Nakasongola district.
