Former Sanyu radio presenter, Allan Kasujja walked out the banana republic to go and hustle across the continent before landing at the BBC world services.
Allan started his radio career at Sanyu FM in the nineties then to Capital FM, Nairobi between 2007 and 2009, and then returned to Uganda to present The Big Breakfast on 91.3 Capital, Kampala.
He joined the BBC World Service in September 2012 and his first assignment was in Kampala with Paul Bakibinga on Newsday’s coverage at Uganda’s 50th anniversary independence.
He then flew to London & joined the Newsday team to begin broadcasting around November that year.
Kasujja is one of Uganda’s first-ever world presenter to televise the Ugandan presidential debate in 2016 alongside Nancy Kacungira who is also a former employee of the BBC World Service but was working in KTN News by then.
Kasujja, known for his commanding voice and exclusive interviews at the Africa Daily and Newsday has amplified African voices across the global continent.

Kasujja’s departure marks the end of an era for BBC Africa, where his reporting and interviews have consistently brought African stories to global audiences.
His legacy at BBC Africa will be remembered for its dedication to authenticity, depth, and giving African voices platform.
Allan has also made his name and hosted Uganda’s version of who wants to be a millionaire on addition to the 4th estate political show.
