Uganda smoothly defended 147 after restricting Nigeria to 109 runs, with all out at 18.1 overs. it is a fourth win for Uganda in as many games having defeated Nigeria, UAE and Kenya in the first leg.

Uganda won the fourth toss in four consecutive games and opted to bat first in all games.

The Cricket Cranes converted 147 runs with a fall of 6 wickets. Shrideep Mangela recorded 51 runs off 42 balls.

Raghav Dawan had 22 runs off 27 balls, and Cyrus Kakuru hit 21 runs off 22 balls in a rally to raise the set up.

In the changed batting order from the last three games, Robinson Obuya replaced Ronald Lutaaya, joining Mangela in the opening pair.

Muhammad Abdulmumun was the Nigerian bowler with the most wickets picked, with 2 while conceding 18 runs from 3 overs, creating the best economy at 4.50.

Peter Aho also picked two wickets. Prospor Useni picked the first wicket, taking off Obuya, and Abdulrahman Jimoh was another bowler to pick a wicket.

Batting second, Isaac Okpe converted 27 runs off 20 balls by the time he lost the last partner.

Prosper Useni was the best converter, hitting 17 runs in 9 balls faced, while Solomon Chilemanya had 17 off 23.

Nigeria started their batting well, hitting 16 runs in the first over bowled by captain Juma Miyaji, but got slowed down by Alpesh Ramjan. The captain returned still in the power play to bowl out Suleiman Runsewe with the last ball of the third over for the first wicket to fall for Nigeria.

Joseph Baguma and Denish Nakrani both picked up 3 wickets while conceding 32 and 11 runs, respectively.

Baguma was among the changes made, along with two debutants, Innocent Mwebaze, who created an economy of 6.50 in two overs, and Calvin Watuwa, who had a catch of Nigeria captain Solomon Okpe.

The other wickets were picked by the captain himself, Miyaji (2), and Mathew Musinguzi (2).

Uganda will return to action on Friday, July 25, against Kenya in the return leg before winding up against UAE on Sunday, July 27, in the deciding game of the tournament.
