The Buganda Masaza cup commenced over the weekend in a shocking way with Ssesa, Kooki and Buvuma becoming the only teams to acquire maximum points on matchday two.
Ssese forced record champions Gomba to a second straight loss to keep them winless after two games this season.
In the game played on Sunday July 6th 2025 at Kabulasoke, Fahad Bukenya scored in the second half of the game the only goal of the game few minutes before teammate Bashir Mobin getting sent off.
Despite playing with a man less, Ssese endured to overcome Gomba attacks to finish the day victorious becoming fourth in Bulange group.
The group led by Buluuli with four points and two goal difference as defending champions Buddu is jointly second along Busujju with four points and one goal difference.
On the same day Buddu dropped points after drawing with Busiro 1-1 in Sentema while Busujju picked an away point from a 1-1 draw against Buluuli.

In the same group Buwekula drown 0-0 with Bugerere and Kyaggwe settle for a point from Ssingo as Kyaggwe maintaining the top spot in the group with four points.
Mawogola, Kooki are behind with three points each, Ssinga and Kabula on two points while is at bottom with a point after securing a 1-1 draw at home against Kabula.
In Masengere group the week two started with a shock after Buvuma sacrificed Kyadondo on the Island in with a 1-0 played match at Magyo Ssaza ground.
On Sunday both games of the group ended in goalless draws with Bulemeezi and Buwekula both at picking the first point of season.
Bulemeezi played against Mawokota and Buwekula played against Bugerere and after matchday two Mawokota is leading the on four points, Kyadondo and Buvuma on three points, Bugerere on two points while Buwekula and Bulemeezi are on bottom with a point each to live Gomba as the only pointless team in the Airtel Masaza cup.
In the second outings, only 11 goals was scored compared to 14 goals scored on matchday one all from 9 games.
