Mawokota escaped from Buwekula with a 2-1 win in Buwama. Youngster George Isingoma marked Masaza cup debut with a brace scored in either half of the game while Benon Candia netting for Buwekula.
In first half he scored with a trademark free kick before making it 2-0 using a magnificent finish in the second half of the game.
After the match Isingoma was announced the man of the match and stated “I am glad for the opportunity, I am happy for goals the win for our team and the accolade. after this I am looking to add more efforts to my game and add on goals so that my team get a good season”.
Buwekula pulled a goal back through Benon Candia just in seconds making the game 2-1.
From there Buwekula kept on growing in the game, few months minutes Buwekula technical area was hit by shooting words in a claim for penalty when Jimmy Kalema was brought down in box but the referee overlooked the incident.
The game ended as Mawokota winning for the first time is six meetings with Buwekula.
With a hopped start of the campaign, Mawokota will return to action next weekend with a visit to Bulemeezi.
For Buwekula, an improvement will be aimed as they host Bugerere on Sunday at NTC Mubende.
In other games Busujju started the compaign with a narrow win over Busujju thanks Lauben Lubwama for the goal.
Mawogola also started brighter with a 1-0 win over Butambala, Joel Ndugu scored the goal.
On the day Kyaggwe got the most comfortable win beating Kooki 2-0, Yosam Ssembalirwa and David Mugalu scored the goals in second galf.
Bugerere at home fought from behind to draw 1-1 with Buvuma and Osman Mayanja scoring late to level the game, Ibra Kasakya scored in the first for Buvuma.
