CECAFA Senior Women Championship 2025:
- Kenya 4-0 Uganda
Uganda Crested Cranes faced a huge 0-4 defeat to Kenya women national football team during the 2025 CECAFA Senior women championship at the Azam Complex on Tuesday, 17th June 2025.
Martha Amunyeti, Dorcus Shikobe, Violet Nanjala and Diana Wacera scored the goals for the dominant Kenyan side.
After defeating South Sudan 5-0, Uganda boosted its hopes of a good performance days after a 0-1 slim fall to Burundi in the opener.
The Crested Cranes lost Jamirah Nabulime through injury in the 84th minute.
Her place was taken over by Shakirah Nankwanga, a teammate at the newly crowned FUFA Women Women Super League champions, Kampala Queens.
Uganda sits third on the log with only three points and a goal. Tanzania and Kenya each has 6 points a piece.
Burundi, like Uganda has three points with a deficit of eight goals.
The final game for Uganda is against hosts Tanzania this Thursday.
