The FUFA Disciplinary Panel (CDP) has officially ruled on the fate of Match No. 61 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) between Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC and UPDF FC, which was previously abandoned due to a sudden floodlight failure at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
According to the ruling released on October 29, 2026, the match will not be awarded via forfeiture, but will instead be rescheduled as a continuation-of-play match starting precisely from the minute and scoreline at which it was abandoned.

However, KCCA FC has not walked away scot-free. The disciplinary panel issued several financial penalties and directives against the club:
* Reimbursement of Costs: KCCA FC has been ordered to reimburse UPDF FC for all costs incurred in connection with the abandoned fixture.
* Cash Fine: The club has also been handed a fine of UGX 1,000,000 in accordance with the Panel’s decision.

Background on the Abandonment
The fixture initially caught national attention when it had to be abruptly halted following a major stadium floodlight failure. Under SUPL rules (Rule 31), matches suspended due to infrastructural or unforeseen circumstances undergo strict panel evaluation to determine whether the hosting side is culpable or if it qualifies as an unavoidable circumstance.
With the ruling now finalized, both teams must prepare to resume the battle on the pitch to settle the remaining minutes of the fixture.
