Mayor Fabrice Brad Rulinda is fighting land grabbers encroaching on free government spaces and land in Entebbe municipality.
This follows after one Kataswa Mark Augustine fencing off (Approx 0.083 HA) of land belonging to the Lake Victoria Primary school, along plot 60 on Circular road.
In a letter dated, 27th/April/2026 to the Uganda Land Commission about the lease of the controversial land,Mr. Kataswa Mark Augustine was requesting for a 49yrs lease & the land commission okayed only 5yrs.
And when he tried fence-ing off part of the school land, the town mayor suspended all the developments until further notice.
During the press conference last week, the mayor revealed that Mr. Kataswa Mark Augustine was plotting to grab the government school land after running to different offices including the ministry of land & urban development & the chief government valuer’s office.
During the meeting, the town clerk Emmanuel Mugisha Gakyaro warned whoever is planning to grab free public land to stop using wrong approaches& procedures of acquiring public spaces.
The municipal council is only remaining with two public school tittles to be recovered and no title has been dished out like rumors say over the Uringi crescent road government staff quarters. said top authorities.
Meanwhile the Lake Victoria Primary School in Entebbe was founded & opened in 1924 under the European education foundation until it switched hands into the Ugandan education systems.
And on a similar note, Mayor Rulinda warned former speaker & councilor Daisy Aloyo over trading false allegations & attracting social media likes on facebook & tiktok.
She’s trading allegations that the ‘Mayor’ sold off several government housing facilities without following procedures & the council.
“ I have warned every one trading false allegations to be charged in the courts of law over speaking recklessly with no proof & painting my name”said Mayor Rulinda.
