The Kinaawa High School, Kyengera Mugongo campus will be holding the second edition of the former old boys & girls sports gala on the 27th Sept 2026 at the main school campus.
The purpose of this gala is to unite the former students that passed thru the main gates of this holistic academic institution with the current students, said Aisha Nakakinde Matovu also school principal.
She revealed that this year’s theme is “Celebrating talent, building character & creating opportunities, Madam Headmistress added.
Kinaawa High School has breeded lots of students who have become powerful personalities ever since it started, said report.
Madam Aisha thanked the former old boys & girls for organizing this year’s sports gala to share those great memories including the morning preps plus ‘canes’ for stubborn students.
This year’s edition is more than action packed with lots of fun to different sports displines including volleyball, football and one of the newest games futsol, said Katongole Edris also Kinaawa High School Old Student Association President.
Come be prepared for the day and reconnect with the former students & create lasting memories plus strong bondage with current students & staff, said Gumisiriza Badru also chairman organizing committee during the press conference & the first of its kind in the school premises.
This year we have lots of goodies to give away to different color houses including Gadaffi house, Musoke house, Serugo house and Matovu house plus two cows to be won by the best color house.
In the last sports edition Gadaffi house walked away as the best color house and this time round, it’s more than tight for the Gadaffi to take the day’s trophy, said Ssonko Duncan also KHOSA Speaker.
This year’s sports gala is sponsored by several companies including Amaka coffee,Riham,Newmans,Hijab Nations,Hajjetex Ventures,Wise Up Tools,HBT Speakers,Freedom Properties,Hajjati Aisha Car Dealers and others.
Also present at the Thursday press conference included comedians,MC Kalera, Comedian Maulana, Ali Muzungu plus others you have heard of.
