Former Vipers SC head coach Ivan Minnaert has been unveiled as the new head coach of Botswana Premier League champions Jwaneng Galaxy on a two-year contract.
The Belgian tactician returns to the dugout just weeks after parting ways with the Uganda Premier League champions, taking charge of one of Southern Africa’s most successful clubs in recent years.

Minnaert has been tasked with leading the three-time Botswana league winners as they prepare for another domestic title challenge and a fresh campaign in continental football.
His appointment reflects Jwaneng Galaxy’s ambition to maintain their dominance at home while making a stronger impact in CAF competitions.
Having built a reputation through coaching stints across several African countries, Minnaert brings a wealth of experience to the Botswana outfit.
His tactical knowledge and familiarity with African football are expected to play a key role as Jwaneng Galaxy begin a new chapter under his leadership.
The move marks a swift return to management for the former Vipers SC coach, who now embarks on a new challenge with one of Botswana’s football powerhouses.
