Addressing both Houses of Parliament in Rabat, His Majesty King Mohammed VI provided an unyielding sovereign perspective on the conduct of Morocco’s foreign relations.

Addressing bilateral cooperation with Spain, the Sovereign stated that the partnership remains a sovereign choice and a voluntary commitment that can neither be dictated nor conditioned.

While this alliance has achieved undeniable progress, it faces major hurdles driven by irresponsible statements and blatant political and media exploitation. King Mohammed VI reaffirmed that Morocco will accept no pressure, threats, or blackmail, emphasizing instead mutual respect, shared determination, and constructive dialogue.

Morocco extends its hand in good faith, yet the responding hand must not be extended to intimidate. This clarification reflects Morocco’s overarching policy as a reliable partner that meticulously honours its commitments and expects reciprocal treatment.

To operationalize this vision, the Kingdom is launching an unprecedented Moroccan initiative to reverse the North-South scheme by submitting a clear, practical strategic vision document to European partners, centered on co-development, economic competitiveness, and regional stability.

For the first time, Morocco leads with a clear vision and method to secure an equal partnership free from political posturing.

This comprehensive approach incorporates a candid assessment of migration, acknowledging that the current framework has reached its limits amid recurring crises and stalled procedures regarding unaccompanied minors and individuals misrepresenting refugee status.

Pointing out that these delays benefit criminal trafficking networks, the King highlighted that this candid assessment is an act of genuine responsibility aimed at creating effective, modernized frameworks.
