Kampala city lawyer Johnny Barenzi has donated a water facility worth forty five million shillings (sh45m) to his former school of Nkumba primary school next Nkumba University along Entebbe road.
This was witnessed over the weekend by the former old boys & girls of Nkumba primary school headed by Charles Magezi (class 1990) at the school campus while celebrating the school’s alumni sports gala on Saturday.
The Nkumba primary school headmistress thanked the old boys & girls for taking time and organizing such a memorable event & remembering the old school times.
“The problem of water has finally been answered by senior counsel Barenzi”, noted Madam Oliver Wasswa Kazinda also Nkumba primary school headmistress.
The school headmistress also thank Justice Kinobe for donating a water tank to the school
The morning chaotic battles of the 90’s, these years shaped us of who we are today from the lining up for porridge & food every morning, said former students.
Hundreds of former Nkumba primary school old boys & girls drove in big numbers & participated in the different sports displine including football, volley ball, tug of war, sack race, water filling and others.
The Nkumba primary school sports gala was attended by several personalities including the former Busiro South parliamentary Aspirant Eddie Mugenyi (class 1990),Kira municipality Mayor Gerald Kizito (class 1990) & Nkumba university board of trustee chairman Dr Ben Kamya Kintu.
Dr Ben Kamya Kintu also donated two million shillings to the Nkumba primary school alumni to facilitate in the school’s development.
Nkumba primary school started as a small kindergarten in the early 1950’s and now government owned with over one thousand (1043) students.
The Nkumba primary school alumni chairman Linda Akech thanked the old boys and girls for taking time and remembering the golden memories of the times.
