Wakiso district chief magistrate’s court has charged three crafty men over land trespass and multiple offences including malicious damage, unlawful eviction of bona fide occupants and destroying food crops plants plus theft.
Ssejjombwe Ibrahim, Kyeyune Allan, and Musoke Joseph are breathing behind bars after landing into trouble of encroaching on Block 314 with plot no. 846,located in Wakiso district.
The trio have been remanded to prison until November 19, 2025 over trespassing on land belonging to both, Dr Paul Biriibwa and Peter Biriibwa in Busiro suburbs.
According to the prosecution, between January and October 2025, the accused, together with others still at large, allegedly mobilized a group of people armed with pangas and sticks and violently invaded land located at Bukasa, Wakiso District — registered as Block 314, Plot 846, Busiro belonging to Dr. Paul Biriibwa and Peter Biriibwa.
The group demolished several properties including structures, workers’ houses, animal shelters, perimeter wall, water tanks, and a 40-foot container.
They also allegedly destroyed trees, coffee and banana plantations, solar systems, plus security cameras, said report.
The accused lacked proof of ownership or occupancy on the said land, despite claiming to be bibanja holders and the complainants reportedly have a valid land title dating back to 2001 on addition to having uninterrupted possession for over two decades.
