FOOT SOLDIER:Police Hunts NUP Mobiler Kimbowa Like Safety Pin Over Escaping From Coolers

National Unity Platform (NUP) mobiliser and coordinator, Sande Kimbowa, is in trouble and on the run after escaping from police custody in Entebbe on the night of October 30, 2025.

Kimbowa, who had returned home from work at around 10 pm., reportedly walked into an ambush of police officers who had camped near his former residence.

According to witnesses, police had been hunting for one Kimbowa Sande and nowhere to be spotted or traced.

Police sources say Kimbowa was detained and put behind bars before plotting a fishy move to sneak out of coolers.

He escaped from custody and hasn’t been spotted for some time, says police underdog.

Authorities have since launched a manhunt for the fugitive, who is well-known in Katabi Sub-county, where he previously mobilized support for incumbent Mayor Ronald Kalema during the 2021 general elections.

In 2020, Kimbowa was dismissed from one of Uganda’s universities over allegations of illegally recruiting students into the NUP political party, according to university records.

Entebbe police have not yet released an official statement of how the stubborn walked of coolers with investigations going on.(Watch the space)
