Britam Golf Series 3rd Leg:
- Overall winner: Zhang Fangyi – 43 points
The 3rd leg of Britam Golf series was successfully held at the par 72-Uganda Golf Club in Kampala on Saturday, 28th February 2026.
Zhang Fangyi scored 43 points to win the overall title in a field that had over 150 golfers from across the divide.
Fangyi was rewarded with a trophy, Britam branded golf bag and a Johnnie Walker gold bottle.
“I am happy for this win, only my second podium finish since I started playing golf one and a half years ago at the Kenya Golf Day tournament. I will maintain the rhythm for the future tournaments” Zhang remarked.
Rains engulfed the Kitante course for the entire morning years but the golfers braved these conditions to gallantly solider on.

Other excelling golfers:
Left hander Paul Ndyaguma came top of group A men with 41 points, better than Morris Ahaba (39 points) and Aggrey Mutaka (37 points, countback).
In men group B, Michael Kijjambu (42 points) was top as Dickson Agaba and Godwill Bindeeba followed suit with 41 and 40 points respectively.
Albert Kisembo scored 42 points, winning Group C on countback ahead of Jeremiah Magembe.
Antoine Oziol scored 38 points for third place.

Ladies:
Uganda Golf Club lady captain Gloria Mbaguta toppled the rest of the ladies in group A. The left handed player scored 36 points with Lydia Mutesi in second place (34 points) and Cathy Wabomba on 32 points.
Sarah Nduhukire won ladies group B with 38 points on countback, better than Connie Nshemereirwe.
Peace Musisi was third placed with 30 points.
Gross:
Reigning Uganda Open champion Joseph Cwinya-ai won the men gross cluster as he torn the course apart with 6-under-66 mark.
Evelyn Asiimwe won the ladies’ gross category with 87 on countback.

Seniors:
For golfers above 55 years age mark; Paddy Muramira scored 38 points and Grace Kabonero had 30 points.
Juniors:
Those below 18 years; Ethan Namara shone brightest with 40 points as Ariana Jenny Tumwesigye had 31 points.
Edward Kuria was best staff (Britam) with 36 points.

Guest golfers:
Bryan Wakwale and Agnes Konde Asiimwe emerged as the best male and female golfers on the day with 43 points and 38 points respectively.
Side-bets:
Aaron Ecel and Lydia Mutesi swung longest for the men and ladies respectively.
Kushal Haria won the male nearest to the pin prize and Olive Njagi succedded for the female as Connie Mukuru had 21 points for the Piga Mingi consolation.
