Celebrated Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) sportsman Titus “The Rock” Tugume officially wedded longtime lover Annet Busingye during a glamorous ceremony on Saturday, 19th April 2025.
The wedding ceremony took place at the St Steven’s Church Kitala in Wakiso before the guests were treated to a reception at Kampala University in Kampala.
The two lover-birds officially legalized their marriage and will remain together until death separates them apart.
Warrant Officer II Tugume is a martial artist who specialized in boxing, kickboxing, karate, taekwondo and the mixed martial arts.
He hails from the family of late Joab Babundabyaho and Naume Kamarembo from Kashekuro Kitagata, Sheema District.
Busingye is from the family of the Daniel Murwani and Jane Murungi Murwani of Kirangazi, Ngoma in Nakaseke district.
Tugume has since appreciated a number of persons who immensely contributed to his wedding including General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the chief of defence forces of the UPDF. He also lauds the entire UPDF fraternity, assistant commissioner Godwin Tumugumye, Tom Rwemanzi, Major Gerald, Brig. Gen Geoffrey Muwanguzi (whose message was delivered by Major Magezi), Col Ngabirano (Airfoce sports director), Brigadier Karemire (chief education and sports), Mr Boss Kanyamuhanga, Maj Gen Mugira, Maj Gen Birungi, the World Mixed Martial Arts body (GAMMA), Kampala University, friends, well-wishers and family members.
