Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Isima Watenga picked up a serious injury after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.
He also damaged his Posterolateral Knee during a friendly game Uganda Cranes against The Gambia in Morocco (game ended 1-all) on Monday.

The injury leaves him worried as he could miss the AFCON 2025 slated in Morroco.
In the 53rd minute the Uganda Cranes captain picked up the injury and was replaced by BUL FC goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa for the rest of the game.
Watenga is among the goalkeepers who represented Uganda at the AFCON 2019 and has been a strong pillar in the qualification this campaign.

The AFCON 2025 will take place in December in Moroco with 24 countries in attendance.
Uganda is pooled in group C alongside Nigeria, Tunisia and Tanzania.
