Uganda Athletics Federation has re-branded as Uganda Athletics and changed the logo.
The changes was announced in an annual meeting held at Namboole stadium’s meeting room on 10th May 2025.
The President of the Body Dominc Outuchet spoke on the purposes of the changes
“we have changed our name from Uganda Athletics Federation to Uganda Athletics, this is made for us to walk in line with our International Body the World Athletics, and also we have changed our logo”
The National Athletics body is in a process of Cerebrating 100 years of existence.
Over the years, Athletics has been the sport that shaded Uganda on international Map and Outuchet announced the commencement of the commitment
“as the sport of Athletics, we are working will in compliance with the government of Uganda through National council of sports, we are looking forward to continue the status”
The main centenary cerebrating shall happen on two occasions on 7th June 2025 with in Jonh Aki Bua meet where over 10000 kids shall have Athletics engagement and the Mass 5 kilometers race for big people in morning.
In evening, the Elite athletics race will take place with the World Athletics vice president also the President of Kenya Athletics Federation Lieutenant General Jackson Tuwei attending the even.
The final centenary cerebration will happen in November with awarding dinner for those who has served Athletics the Excel.
