Uganda Aquatic team off to Singapore for World Championship

Uganda Aquatic team lives the country to Singapore for World Aquatic championship 2025.

The team has six members representing Uganda at the biggest Aquatics championship.

Out of the six, Swagia Mubiru and Benjamin Lutaaya will contest in open water participating in 5km race between July 15th and 20th.

Four other Swimmers including captain Tendo Mukalazi, Kirabo Namutebi, Gloria Muzito and Jesse Ssengonzi will participate in pool event from July 27th to 3rd August.

The four will take part in (50m & 100m Freestyle),(50m & 100m Butterfly) and relay.

During a flag off event held at NCS Offices in Lugogo on 12th July 2025, team Captain Tendo Mukalazi backed his team to stall higher in the championship “We have had enough preps for the championship, coaches have prepared the team well and we are ready to to put on high performances during the World Championship”

The team is under coach Abel Damulira for the entire 22nd World Aquatic championship.

Tendo Mukalazi (50m & 100m Freestyle
Gloria Anna Muzito (50m & 100m Freestyle).
Kirabo Namutebi (50m Butterfly & Freestyle).
