Three aspiring parliamentarians have proved cunning enough to represent the people of Entebbe in this coming general election.
The trio including former Mayor Vincent Kayanja Depaul, Mukungu Albert Fredrick and Scholastica Najjemba have been awarded marks for their resilience and character in building public trust.
These aspiring parliamentarians where over the weekend invited to the people’s parliament during the public debate at the Frontier’s hotel in Entebbe.
The public debate was organized for aspiring parliamentarians to deliver their manifestos ahead of the general elections, scheduled for Thursday,15th January 2026.
Other aspiring parliamentarians including the incumbent Micheal Kakembo Mbwatekamwa, Steven Shyka Gashaija, Joyce Namuli Nabatta and one Irene Nantumbwe did not show up for the public debate despite official communications inviting them.
It has now become a culture of local leaders to boycott public engagements because of their hidden agendas and selfish gains, said report.
Mukungu Albert Fredrick made the best presentation during the public debate with new ideas of how Entebbe can be turned into a tourism city while Kayanja and Scholastica Najjemba also presented their manifestos to build the new Uganda.
“I have a dream to represent the people of Entebbe and once given an opportunity and chance, I will deliver and serve the people of Entebbe”, said Mukungu also UK based medic.
Kayanja to restore public trust and expose rotten manners in government institutions and officials, he said during debate.
Scholastica Najjemba to empower the youth, women and also stand as a bridge to government, she noted.
