SHOWTIME:Absa Bank Injects Shs179M Into Captain Bell’s Tournament 2025

Absa Bank has budgeted over one hundred million and seventy million shillings (shs179m) into this year’s Captain Bell’s tournament 2025.

This year’s prestigious golf tournament is scheduled for next weekend at the Uganda Golf Club Kitante.

“We are grateful for the continued support from our longtime partner, Absa Bank Uganda”, noted Charles Rukundo also Captain of the Uganda Golf Club.

Absa has continuously invested in growing the sport and providing top Ugandan golfers  to participate in international competitions including the Magical Kenya Open.

“We believe in the power of sport that inspires and connect communities” said Michael Segwaya and Chief Finance Officer, Absa Bank Uganda.

This is the 7th edition of the prestigious tournament and we proud to be hosting it again, revealed Derrick Muhumuza also tournament director.

“I would like to thank our main sponsors for supporting us in this year’s special tournament including Aqua fina, Pepsi and Pinnacle security”, added Rukundo.

 We hope to have fantastic numbers plus great time and looking forward to having the biggest tournament at the Kampala Golf course, said UGU Captain.

We are honored to be part of this year’s fun fair and also looking to forging future partnerships, noted Micheal Segwaya also Chief Finance Officer Absa Bank.

The members have entrusted me to serve them another term in office and hopefully more is expected during my tenure including more automation and smart systems, revealed Captain Uganda Golf Club.

We have raised the club’s revenue from shs3.6bn to shs5bn last year and hope to have better and bigger golf competition with over 240 golfers expected at this year Captain Bell tournament.
