A 72-year-old woman, Zainab Kajoyina, is at logger heads with Wagagai Flower Farm over grabbing her piece of land measuring 2 acres in Nkumba Bufulu zone in Katabi Town Council, Wakiso district.
The disputed piece of land is on Block 448 plot no:39 at Nkumba Bufulu cell in Katabi Town Council, Wakiso district.
The old woman with locals recently stormed the flower farm with placards pinning top bosses in a fishy move to grab the old woman’s land.

The old woman staged a peaceful demonstration after management grabbing her and turning it into a football playground.
The area vice chairperson Mr. Abdul Kasule revealed that the poor old woman is currently sleeping in a makeshift structure which is in deplorable condition or inhabitable.
Mr. Steven Lubowa, who claims to be among the land occupants who got powers of attorney in 2001 from the original landowner the late Hajj Twaib Mukasa told reporters that Wagagai flower farms illegally occupied the disputed land and has never compensated the old woman not even a single coin.

The poor woman old woman has called on government and the Wakiso Resident District Commissioner to intervene into the matter.
However, when contacted Mr. Joseph Balondemu, the Human Resource Manager Wagagai Flower Farm, refused to comment on the matter.
