The Uganda Civil Aviation Authourity has injected over fifteen million shillings into this year’s golf tournament, scheduled for this weekend at the Uganda golf club in Kampala.
The 10th edition of the Uganda Seniors golf tournament is scheduled for this weekend with over two hundred golfers dancing around to the 19th hole.
Every year the seniors golf tournament is sponsored by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority as one of the signature events celebrating the Aviation week, said David Baraka also Uganda Seniors’ Golfing Association Chairman.
The Uganda Seniors Golf has traditionally become one of the authority’s major activities in the celebration of the International Aviation Week, which is globally celebrated in the first week of December, every year, said Olive Lumonye also deputy director general at the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority.
John Kato and Jenniffer Opio will be the golfers to cane in the 10th edition of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority Seniors Golf Open with lots of goodies to be given away after sweating heavily at the Kampala golf course.
Golfers are key stake holders to the aviation fraternity as they are known to be frequent fliers and users of our facilities at Entebbe international Airport, said report.
This weekend will shall be dancing on the green to the 19th hole at the Kampala golf club with age-ing golfers including men and women above 55yrs, said David Baraka.
This year’s elderly golfers’ tournaments is powered by several companies including Pepsi cola with over 1800 water bottle plus soda to dehydrate the golfers,said Sandra Againe also Head of Brand & Communications at Crown Beverages.
The senior golfers will be celebrating with veteran golfer Emmanuel Basaliza, who is clocking 100 years and still plays golf,said our police under dogs. (By PEACOCK KAWEESA & Agencies)
