The Uganda Crested Cranes head coach Sheryl Botes on the morning of Saturday 7th June 2025 announced a 20-man squad to represent the country in this year’s CECAFA women’s championship due in Tanzania.
Missing on the list is Kawempe Muslims Agnes Nabukenya, scorer of a dozen goals this season on the Finance Trust women league.
Her omission leaves behind lingering questions among many a football faithful.
The team enters camp on Sunday 8th June at Kisaasi ahead of Monday’s training.
They are expected to fly out the next day, Tuesday, 10th June 2025.
The tournament will kick-off on 12th June. Five countries to include hosts Tanzania, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi and South Sudan will take part.
This round robin basis tournament kicks off at the Azam Complex in Chamazi, Tanzania.
