Ugandan music star and Grammy-nominated artist Eddy Kenzo has praised President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, calling him “the fountain of honor” and “the wisest man” he has ever met.
In a public statement, Kenzo attributed much of his personal and professional success to the stability Museveni’s leadership has brought to the country.
“Being near President Museveni has been my blessing in life,” Kenzo said.
“The time I met him, I have earned a lot and That’s why I am in NRM.”
Kenzo revealed that he once asked the president why he had ruled Uganda for so long, and Museveni reportedly replied, “My long leadership is your blessing, that’s why you are the senior advisor on creatives”,.
Kenzo currently serves as a presidential advisor on issues related to the creative arts industry.
Highlighting Museveni’s legacy, Kenzo pointed to the population growth from 13 million people in earlier years to over 30 million today.
“This is something we must celebrate and I am a product of his stability”, said Kenzo.
Kenzo also condemned the use of phrases like “protest vote,” arguing they promote unrest.
“Protest vote means voters should riot if NUP doesn’t get what they want and that’s why I left NUP. It has its own issues and goals that I didn’t see at first.”
He concluded by urging Ugandans to protect their gains under Museveni’s iron hand on national achievements with several golden awards and medals over manning this country iron hand.
