Buganda Masaza Cup with partners including Plascon, Airtel and Centenary Bank have maintained strong commitment towards the engagement.

The official opening game of the 2025 edition was played on 21st June at the Kitovu Sports Arena in Masaka Buddu with defending champions Buddu taking early command of the 21st Edition after overcoming record-holders Gomba 1-0 in highly contested game in front of a big crowd.

Crispus Sseruwuge scored the only goal of the match came in the 78th minute in his usual way of striking from long-range.

Under the exciting atmosphere which was not only a pride for home fans alone but also Sponsors including Plascon, Airtel, Centenary Bank was equally excited and promise the continuation of with the engagement.

Plascon who is on third consecutive year return as a proud co-sponsor of the Masaza Cup, and a direct partner of Buddu FC represented by Benjamin Bicung who delivered the company message.

Speaking after the match, Plascon’s Marketing Coordinator Bicung expressed the brand’s pride in supporting a tournament that has become a cornerstone of Ugandan sport and culture.

Following the successful beginning of the 2025 tournament, other teams like Busiro, Kyaggwe, Mawogola and Bugerere to unveil their players on Sunday June 22 as they continue preparations for their opening games next weekend.
