With the stage set for an August 2nd kickoff, MultiChoice Uganda is thrilled to bring all 32 CHAN 2024 games to Ugandans in the comfort of their homes.

Rinaldi Jamugisa, PR and Communications Manager at MultiChoice Uganda, in speaking about the live CHAN telecast emphasized the importance of national spirit and support for the national team as Uganda hosts a landmark event.

“CHAN 2024 is a monumental occasion for Ugandan sport as first-time hosts of a major continental football tournament and it is important that every Ugandan gets the opportunity to witness this live,” Jamugisa said.

As a part of SuperSport’s offering, the action kicked off with the Opening match on Saturday, 2 August 2025, in Dar es Salaam, as co-host Tanzania defeated Burkina Faso 2-0 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium at 8pm.

A mouth-watering clash between members of the East African Community followed in Nairobi on Sunday, 3 August when Kenya edged DR Congo 1-0.

This was followed by a clash of giants as 2018 CHAN champions Morocco overcame Angola 2-1 in Nairobi.

For Ugandans, the main event will be saved for Monday, August 4 at 8pm at the Majestic Namboole stadium where Uganda Cranes will launch their bid for a maiden CHAN trophy against 2-time AFCON winner Algeria as both sides battle for their first bid at CHAN glory and it will be available on DStv and GOtv live.

With the grand final scheduled for Saturday, 30 August 2025, at Nairobi’s Moi International Sports Centre and the Third-Place Playoff in Kampala on Friday, 29 August, there is a lot of action to look forward to.
