The inaugural event of the Local Football Appreciation (LFA) Awards will be held at Rivonia Suites in Mbuya, Kampala on 1st August this Friday.
The awards are organized and headed by Sportymetrics Company Limited in collaboration with Leero Sport and DailySportAfrica.
A total of 30 awards will be awarded today to the outstanding individuals and entities that are nominated.
Each award has been named in honor of a football legend, some living, others deceased, but all fondly remembered for their service to the beautiful game.
In the Best Male Local Player of the Year category, the competition features Ronald Ssekiganda, Denis Omedi, Allan Okello, and Patrick Jonah Kakande.
For the Best Female Local Player of the Year, the nominees are Agnes Nabukenya, Sharon Namatovu, Justine Ayerango, and Arinda Anita.
The awards will cover achievements between January and December 2024 only.
