Ugandan political activist, Johnpaul Mugabi Socrates has been registered in the Guinness book of records as one of leading advocates for human rights and rule of law across the continent.
“ We are pleased to inform you that the society of Liberty(SDL Latam) has decided to award you the “Libertarian Activist of the year” for your intense and outstanding work for your country and nominated you”, reads letter.
Mugabi is one the few personalities that have been outlined for their continued efforts in fighting for human rights, land rights, traders’ rights and others including refugees’ rights.
Six different personalities have been listed for this special category including Alba Orellana from Argentina,Alberto Medina(Argentina),Nicolas Quintana(Uruguay),Joselo Andrade(Ecuador) and Victor Becerra from Mexico plus Mugabi John Socrates for this year’s award.
Meanwhile we have established that Mugabi John Socrates has just recently bagged a Masters of economics and working around the clock to replace Richard Ssekyondo at the divisional seat.
Mugabi recently jetted back in town from the upper Arizona with books on the head and waiting graduation ceremony early next year2026.
Mugabi is the founding director of Action for Liberty and Economic Development organization and served in different capacities including being the former Kyambogo university guild president, chairman Entebbe Chamber Of Commerce plus others including serving at the former Entebbe Municipal Council Development Forum.
We have highly established that Mugabi John Socrates will be contesting for the Entebbe Div ‘B’ LC 3 seat with several others including Joseph Lukyamuzi (NRM candidate), Byansi Amos of the Democratic Front, Counsel Juma Mukasa (Democratic Party), plus others we don’t know.
