Legacy Corporate Games Uganda officially introduced the Legacy Corporate Games, a national corporate sports and wellness platform.
This was during a special press conference held at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
It ushered in Uganda’s new corporate sports movement, bringing together organizations across sectors to promote employee wellness, strengthen team culture, and create meaningful cross-industry connections through structured sporting engagement.
The Legacy Corporate Games aim to position corporate sport as a strategic driver of workplace wellbeing and organizational performance by providing companies with a professional platform for participation, competition, and collaboration.
Thomas Bamuteze, the chairperson of Legacy Corporate Games Uganda, remarked that the initiative addresses the growing need for healthier workplaces and stronger corporate relationships across Uganda’s business community.
“The Legacy Corporate Games create a platform where organizations invest in their people, strengthen teamwork, and build meaningful connections across industries. This initiative represents a new chapter for corporate engagement in Uganda,” Bamuteze hinted.
The Games featured will entail multiple sporting disciplines and participation opportunities open to companies, institutions, and corporate teams from sectors including finance, telecommunications, manufacturing, hospitality, technology, and public institutions.
Benefits:
Among the key benefits for the participating organizations will include; improved employee wellness and workplace engagement, stronger team culture and collaboration, cross-industry networking opportunities, corporate visibility and brand positioning as well as structured, professionally managed competitions.
At the moment, there are 32 companies that have confirmed to take part starting 15th March 2026 as more are encouraged to register.
Among the games to be engaged in will be football, basketball, athletics and others.
The Legacy Corporate Games will be managed by CIPI Events.
