Forget the stereotype of stiff suits and endless spreadsheets, KCB Bank Uganda’s latest staff party proved that bankers can party just as hard as they crunch numbers.
KCB Bank Uganda rolled out its Q3 2025 “Tu-Meetingewa” TGIF bash, and from the first beat to the last cheer, it was pure, unfiltered energy.
The name itself, “Tu-Meetingewa,” a playful Luganda-English fusion, set the tone. The statement is a rallying cry that means “where do we meet?” around the shared goals.
And those goals are no small feat: smashing annual targets, climbing to 7th place in Uganda’s banking rankings, and expanding the active customer base.
But that night, under strings of fairy lights, those goals came wrapped in music, laughter, and a healthy dose of friendly competition.
The venue was transformed into a hive of colour and excitement where a massive stage beamed while the bar brimmed with every drink a tired banker could wish for on a Friday evening.
Staff came dressed to impress in Kyaddala T-shirts, Kangol hats, denim jeans, and crisp white sneakers, an ensemble that said, yes, we’re cool, and yes, we know it.

Games like Ludo and other team challenges broke the ice, but the real curveball came when Bumblebee, the full-on Transformer-like character, rolled in to pose for photos and dance with the crowd.
Before the dance floor took over, there was a powerful pause for reflection.
The “Courageous Conversations” session, led by KCB Bank’s culture ambassadors alongside Managing Director Edgar Byamah, was an honest look at progress, a celebration of wins, and a challenge to embrace boldness, empathy, and agility in everyday work.

Recognition took center stage too, with awards for performance and impact, customer excellence, and innovation and sustainability shining a spotlight on the bank’s everyday heroes.
Then, as the night heated up, the queen of the stage herself, Karole Kasita, took over and the atmosphere exploded. With her trademark charisma and high-energy hits, she had everyone on their feet. From front-row dancers to shy back-row shufflers, no one escaped the beat.
For a moment, it wasn’t bankers, managers, or tellers but one big KCB family, singing and dancing in sync.
Edgar Byamah, the Managing Director KCB Bank Uganda, emphasized the event’s significance.
“The ‘Tu-Meetingewa’ event is about promoting a culture where our team feels valued, connected, and inspired to achieve our shared goals. We believe that a happy and engaged team is the foundation of a successful bank, and events like this are crucial to our brand promise For People For Better,” he said.

By the time the lights dimmed and the last song faded, one clear thing was that KCB Bank Uganda is building a financial success together with a culture that has people showing up, working hard, and celebrating even harder.
And if this party was any indication, Q4 had better watch out because this team is on fire.
