Sports enthusiast and successful businessman Jimmy “Kira Young” Lukwago is eyeing the Kira Municipality Constituency seat for the national parliament come 2026-2031.
For over two decades now, Lukwago has been known for his successful business prowess especially in Real Estate, philanthropism and unrivaled love for sports.
He is again running on the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket like during the previous elections in 2021 when he narrowly lost to the incumbent Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda.
“I am ready to represent the people of Kira Municipality in the national parliament for the period 2026-2031. I am tried and tested. I was baptized as Mr Kira Young because of the football team we once had here, also playing in the Uganda Premier League. I am more than ready to serve my people” Lukwago attested.
He has been lauded for creating many employment opportunities for the people of all ages through his vast construction jobs, he has generously donated to the under privileged in society, built churches and mosques; and most remarkably promoted sports in Kira Municipality.
First, Lukwago is targeting securing the NUP ticket before heading to the main election come 2026.
