The upcoming general and parliamentary elections for the year 2026 are fast garnering steam across the different corners of the country.
In Busiro South, Wakiso District – Central Uganda, the election fever is surpassing boiling point.
Galabuzi Mpologoma, a renown public health administrator is among the numerous prospective candidates warming up for the Parliamentary seat whose incumbent is Hon. Charles Matovu.
Leaning on the popular National Unity Platform (NUP) party, Mpologoma is set to engage in the party primaries and secure the ticket so that he will compete in the forthcoming elections.
His agenda dwells along the key pillars as Health, education, cooperatives and sports promotion.
“I want to further improve upon the health standards within Busiro South. We need fully equipped medical facilities which can be affordable to all the people. The same applies to education. There is need to better education amenities, front technical schools. Also, through my wide network of friends, I want to lobby for the people of Busiro South at every given opportunity” Mpologoma, a resident of Bwerenga reasons.

“I am more than ready to serve for the people of Busiro South. There is a gap that I need to fill created by the people we trust. Here I am to fill the void” Mpologoma who dons a trade-mark dreadlock hairstyle adds.
Lobbying tool:
Blessed with an array of friends particularly in Norway and across Europe, Mpologoma is leveraging on that rich opportunity to lobby for mother Busiro South, Wakiso district, Buganda and Uganda in general as a country.
“Through my chain and network of human resource, I have established a viable platform over the years to brainstorm ideas and share knowledge. In here, lobbying remains pertinent for further development of our country and Busiro South in particular.” He adds.
He also hints on proper waste management means and improvement of the appaling state of roads in the constituency.
Education & Qualifications:
Mpologoma is a highly educated gentleman with a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of East London, UK.
He also has a Degree in International Environment and Development Studies from the University of Oslo, Norway.
Such is the quality of the aspiring legislator upon whom the demanding Busiro South constitutency ought to benefit immensely.
Since the Coronavirus pandemic outbreak, Mpologoma who is credited for helping the people with basic necessities as food, medicine, transport means and the like.
He has also been instrumental in the areas of Bwerenga, Kawuku, Kisubi, Nakawuuka, Kasanje, Bussi, Mpala and Nkumba.
Mpologoma donated three sets of jerseys and other logistics to the popular Nkumba Kataka Football Club that features in the Wakiso district fourth division league.
His agenda of preaching good health and education, cooperatives and sports has witnessed him interact with a cross section of people in Busiro South ranging from professionals, women, youth, the elderly, middle class and the poor in the same vein.
For obvious reasons, Hon. Galabuzi Mpologoma ought to be the right box to be ticked with pride come the election day.
