Nine councilors including Yasin Semanda Kyeyune,Kitoogo Asadu,Mirembe Jackie,Ssewakambo Innocent,Kikomeko Twaha, Mutebi Nyansio,Bawonga Ahmed Kasawuli and outgoing Div ‘B’ Chairperson Richard Ssekyondo are under fire after their names being listed over fighting for locks up owned by the former traders operating at the Kitooro taxi park in Entebbe municipality.
These crafty councilors representing different local villages and subwards plus others including government officials connived and grabbed lock ups and shops belonging to the former traders and vendors operating at the taxi park using the interim chairman, Wandera Mageni Lovie who snaked the traders and dished out their different spaces.
The disgruntled traders signed a memorandum of understanding between them and the Entebbe Municipal Council to vacate the former business taxi park for redevelopment says report to the Equal Opportunities Commission.
In 2025, local government minister Raphael Magyezi was handed a dossier of government officials and councilors implicated in the Kitooro taxi park allocation mess.
The town clerk Emmanuel Mugisha Gacharo was assigned and tasked to produce all the councilors and government officials that acquired lock ups and stalls in a froggy way.
These councilors implicated are in hiding after frustrating several traders that were operating at the former taxi park square and these include, Magyezi Dennis, Malengane John, Seggane Richard Daniel, Byamungu Matabaro, Sebuufu Peter, Murungi Alex, Nkalubo Micheal, Mayiga Margaret, Ntundubaire Francis, and Nassanga Prossy that have run to the Equal Opportunities Commission for justice under the campaign debut “Taasa Omusubuzi We Entebbe or Justice for Vendors.
The High Court in Kampala at the Twed towers has set the, 8th May 2026 for the final whistle of the case after exposing all the dirty rot that was involved in the re-allocation process of giving back shops and lock ups to traders.(A must read story)
