Entebbe Magistrate’s Court has summoned Muhammad Kamoga, a land broker of Kamoga Property Consultants, to appear and face charges of forgery, fraudulent land transfers, unlawful eviction, and malicious damage to property.
The summons, dated September 24, required Kamoga to appear before the court on September 29, 2025, at 9 a.m.
“You are hereby commanded by the Uganda government to appear in this court on the 29th day of September 2025 at 9 a.m. or soon thereafter as the case can be heard herein, fail not,” the summons states.
The order was issued following intervention by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Kamoga, formerly of M/s Kamoga Property Consultants, is accused of forging a practicing certificate in 2021, which he claimed had been issued to Advocate Lorna Nkamwesiga.
Prosecutors allege he falsified the advocate’s signature and seal.
In a related incident on May 7, 2021, Kamoga is said to have forged a land transfer form for property in Busiro Block 425, presenting it as if Nkamwesiga had witnessed it when she had not.
The disputed property reportedly covers more than 200 acres. Prosecutors say the forged documents were used to misrepresent ownership and facilitate transfers.
In earlier proceedings, Kamoga’s lawyer informed court that his client could not attend sessions due to ill health.
However, the Supreme Court dismissed his application in July 2025 to halt prosecution, despite his claims of a pending appeal.
The charges also extend to the alleged forgery of signatures belonging to businessman Peter Bibangamba.
Authorities claim Kamoga fraudulently registered and transferred ownership of land in Bukaaya, Entebbe, evicted Bibangamba unlawfully, and caused malicious damage during the process.
The case has drawn public attention, given the scale of land involved and the seriousness of the allegations.
Kamoga is now expected to appear in court to formally respond to the charges.
