Community leaders, teachers and church leaders have been called upon to fight against the rotting decay of ‘Gender Based Violence’ in the country, Uganda.
This was revealed at the 3day’s meeting, organized by the Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) in partnership with the Uganda Rugby Union (URU plus Swans sports club in campaign against human violence in our local communities and sports.

The church is shedding crocodile tears over the rotting decay of human violence including sexual harassment and evil minds, said Rev Simon Musoke of the St Peter’s COU in Entebbe Municipality.
People are not informed with the stigma of gender based violence in our local communities and it’s under reported with lots of ignorance, said Regina Lunyoro also lead campaigner against human violence.
The three days’ workshop at the Innophine hotel aimed at drawing thin line in curbing down gender-based violence practices in our local communities plus different sports discipline.
Teachers from different schools and community leaders were urged to take up roles in fighting against gender based violence in our communities including churches to condemning the act of violence plus digital harassment, said Mugide Caroline also director of studies at the Victoria High School in Entebbe municipality.

GBV is the controlling behavior of the perpetrators that leads to violence of any kind including economic violence, child abuse plus other forms of human evils, says Patricia Nanteza Mbowa of the Crystal mind bureau.
Addressing GBV in sports requires teamwork, respect plus action to raise awareness of any forms of abuse often under looked, added Patricia Nanteza Mbowa.
Lets work together to prevent GBV including supporting the survivors, sharing knowledge plus creating safer spaces against gender violence, added Regina Lunyoro also brain behind the campaign against gender violence.
The 3days’ meeting was to evaluate and give answers on ‘how can we fight’ gender violence in our local communities, office spaces plus work spaces including sports families.
