Hajji Farouq Meywa has officially announced interests of leading the Uganda most successful football club Sports Club Villa.
With the leadership in office led by Hajji Omar Mandela continue overstaying in the offices Meywa called for elections for the next term.
“I thank the outgoing leadership of Sports Club Villa for what they have done for our beloved but also I also stay uncertified, I think they are alot of untouched issues if we are to bring back our club to top of Ugandan Football”
On the over the overstaying in the office Meywa launched petitions as he reminds the leadership in office for have due time.
“We are reminding them that their term was done six months ago, being unwilling to organize the elections we have petitioned them, we have served them and FUFA was notified” he spoke.
The launch occurred on Wednesday 2nd July 2025 at Hotel Sojovalo in Mengo and Meywa while briefing the media announced.
“I am by announcing my interests of standing for SC Villa presidency, I look to serve the club I support being a former player, I want to bring back the glory days” Meywa stated.
Meywa also participated in the last elections, but his participation was cut short at he was ruled out for failing to submit his executive forms in time.
On the launch of his interest Meywa also released his manifesto in campaign to satisfy SC Villa electral members to trust him.
