Finally Hamz Stadium tests the vibe of Masaza cup as Kyadondo shatters Bulemeezi

Over a year Hamz Stadium Nakivubo has been facing fans negligence, but the Masaza cup vibe has turned around the story with a big turn-up in a game Kyadondo defeated Bulemeezi 1-0.

Youngster Sudais Ssentamu took only four minutes to score the winning goal taping in Joseph Monday cross.

Ssentamu had replaced Isaac Ssenyunja in the 79th minute and scored the winner in 83rd minute to give Kyadondo a bright start of the tournament.

In the Post match interview, goal scorer Ssentamu delightedly jubilated his remarkable start of the campaign.

“I am glad that I have scored the winning goal, at the time when I took the free kick I got inspired by the fans though it didn’t work out on that time but it gave the energy to play until we scored and win the game” remarked Ssentamu.

Kyadondo Head Coach Medi Nyanzi also had a comment on the game “We have managed to win the game despite it has been a game of pressure, as technical team we did everything possible from the point of start with our well-known players to the time we introduced some new players as we have been looking on how to win”

Kyadondo Ssaza team Chairman Honorable Khalid Ssimbwa assured the fans about the possibility of winning the tournament “I told our fans that this time our mission is trophy and we have started, it is coming to Kyadondo, just continue to support the team with discipline”

Also, on the team managers Joseph Mugisha hinted on possibilities of winning Masaza cup “This win is announcing the trophy to Kyadondo, I have been manager for five years and we have been building slowly now this is the time to win, if we win this is likely to be my last season and if we don’t am quitting”.

The game was graced by Buganda Masaza cup tournament Hajji Sulaiman Ssejjengo who thank Kyadondo and warns fans over hooliganism. “I thank Kyadondo Ssaza for the arrangements, it has been a fantastic game only fans have been the bad side of the day, we have seen them throwing bottles onto the pitch we are not just looking at that we are going to interfere”

The also had other two games as Buluuli picked an away win Buvuma 2-0 thanks to Joseph Enyabu and Steven Mugisha who scored the goals.

In other games Ssingo drew with Kabula 0-0 at Bakijulula.

The Masaza cup tournament shall continue tomorrow Sunday 29 June as Busujju hosting Busiro, Mawokota against Buwekula, Bugerere against Buvuma, Kyaggwe against Kooki and Mawogola against Butambala.
