Entebbe rugby icon Adigas dies

Disturbing news filtered through Entebbe Municipality on the morning of Sunday, 26th October 2025 when one of the gallant sports icons Ronald Adigas, a former Rugby star player was pronounced dead.

Adigas is believed to have collapsed dead on his way to work at the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA).

He is among the founding members of Entebbe Mongers RFC and one of the driving forces behind the growth of rugby in Entebbe Municipality.

He was instrumental in introducing and nurturing the sport at Entebbe Secondary School, inspiring many young players who would go on to represent their schools, clubs, and country.

On the national stage, Ronald proudly wore the Uganda Rugby Cranes jersey and was part of the historic team that won the Rugby Africa Cup in 2007 in Madagascar – Uganda’s greatest rugby achievements.

Beyond the field, he was a dedicated professional and a happy family man.
