The mayor of Entebbe Fabrice Brad Rulinda has commissioned the construction of Ssebugwawo-Bunono road a 6.1 km during a colorful ceremony held at Tanda grounds in Katabi Town Council Wakiso district.
The project which will take 18 months is to be undertaken under the GKMA-UDP With the support from the World Bank.
According to the Mayor he says ,Entebbe Municipal council thought it wise to undertake the project of the road so as to avoid or easy the road transport for the people who use Entebbe road which some times floods “Am happy with this project because it will easy for us the road network most especially people who have been using the main road at Kitubulu when it rains the all network is cut off so this an alternative rout I encourage the residents to embrace the project and give all the necessary support to the contracts ,I want also to encourage the contracts to employ our people in the area rather than importing labour from outside”.
GESCH consult LTD which was awarded the contract to undertake ESHS supervision for the project under GKMA-UDP Will provide professional environment, social. health and safety oversight for the project
The project is estimated to cost over 49 billion Ugandan shillings and work is expected to commence soon.
