Entebbe Cricket oval to host Pearl of Africa T20 Series

Wide cricketing surface Entebbe Cricket oval is to the Pearl of Africa T20 Series on 16-28 July 2025.

The tournament will have five countries participating via Single round robin playing format from July 18-26 with eliminator and grand finale coming in follow as the peak on 27th.

At the tournament launch held at Cooper Chimney Lugogo, Local organizing committee Chairperson Adonia Waibale shaded a picture on the 12 days long event aimed to celebrate Sports, Culture and community.

“We are repacking cricket from just another sport to a high energy occasion that brings vibes through partnerships, tournaments like this light up the love for the game of Cricket in Uganda by inspiring young Ugandans and fans can experience world matchday like this”

Uganda Cricket Association chief executive officer Evelyn Kabongerwa has applauded the importance of the event to Ugandan Cricket.

“This tournament is very significant, it makes out team play more cricket, that doesn’t come alone but it also curries the growth of the sport”

For the national team Head Coach Abby Sharma has tipped the tournament to ground the event as a key platform for Preparations ahead ICC Men’s T20 World cup Africa Qualifiers.

“Our focus is not just on the results but it is essential for us in finding the right combinations and giving opportunities as it is key for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World cup Africa Qualifiers in Zimbabwe”

Uganda will bowl off the tournament against Kenya as they take on Kenya on Friday 18th July 2025 in morning starting the excitement that include parting.
