Former parliamentary contestant Mugabi John Socrates has dropped his parliamentary ambitions and walked back to his roots after a froggy deal.

Mugabi will be contesting on the National Unity Platform ticket in the coming general election at the divisional level in Entebbe.

It’s now official that Mr. Mugabi has waged war to uproot the incumbent outgoing Div ‘B’ chairman Richard Ssekyondo, now plotting to step into his former boss Vicent Kayanja Depaul’s seat.

Mugabi will be carrying the red flag to the promised land after walking thru the  NUP party primaries with other contestants including outgoing Div ‘B’ speaker Kasozi Micheal and one Kibirige Tadeo popularly known as Black stone.

It’s not yet clear why Mugabi John Socrates dropped his name from the list of parliamentary aspirants from the same party including Robert Masaazi, Lubwama Stuart, Joyce Nabatta and one Babirye Lillian.

This could be a ‘foul play’ that was engineered following a secret deal from one the top aspirants in the parliamentary race.

Lot of questions have been raised why Mugabi has climbed the ladders down from the list of political ‘bulls’ and instead of testing his political muscles to change the political land scape.

Mugabi Socrates has a high level of political history including being a former guild president at Kyambogo and now executive director at the action for Liberty & Economic Development offices in Entebbe.

Mugabi has pushed lots of young people and mentored them for bigger offices including fighting for the voice less traders at the  Kitooro Taxi park using his political will.

He has written a book about the Kitooro taxi park mess and called it “Market in the Limbo” with a list of political figures that used the selfish powers to frustrated poor traders & vendors at the government owned facility.

A compiled report has been forwarded to government including the Equal Opportunity Commission to probe several political figures that poked their noses into the taxi park mess & denied traders their own rights to survive in this world.
